Germans have been making sausages for centuries using old world methods and take their sausages very seriously. When Master Sausage Maker, Hubert Gottschlicht came from Munich, Germany, he brought with him these old fashioned values and skilled craftsmanship.
Made in our Wurstküche. (Sausage Kitchen) Hubie's old world family recipes are turned into a wide variety of sausages. All recipes are still mixed by hand from traditional bulk spices & authentic seasonings and smoked in our own in-house smokers just as he made them in Germany! We use NO artificial coloring, flavoring, liquid smoke, fillers or MSG! Never have and never will - It's just that SIMPLE. Our sausages go very well with the largest selection German beers on tap and bottle in the Pioneer Valley. It's wunderbar!

At the Munich Haus

Join us for our third Lobster Fest of the season!
It takes place on the deck or in the dining room.
The first and second Lobster Fests featured huge, sweet lobsters!
Fun Facts: Did you know?
- The largest lobster recorded was caught off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, and weighed 44.4 lbs (20.14 kg); it was between 3 and 4 ft (0.9 to 1.2 m) long. Scientists think it was at least 100 years old.
- Eating lobster was once considered a mark of poverty and they were served to indentured servants, slaves and prisoners. In one Massachusetts colony, servants rebelled and forced a contract stating they would not be fed lobster more than 3 times a week.

History
A subtly bitter and refreshing ale - the original Munich beer garden specialty.
Hofbräu München's Münchner Sommer naturtrüb is brewed according to traditional recipes. The refreshing sparkle makes this bottom-fermented, naturally cloudy beer garden specialty an ideal alternative to Weissbier.
Münchner Sommer naturtrüb has a shimmering, opalescent look and pours to an amber hue and a fine-pored head. The bottom-fermented classic offers 5.1% alcohol content and a hoppy aroma with a touch of fruitiness. It is a refreshing, sparkling drink with estery notes and a subtly bitter finish. A good alternative to Weissbier!

What to expect:
Pour: The beer pours a lightly clouded orange/gold color with a nice big white head with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing. Lots of sticky lacing coated the glass.
Aroma: Tinges of orange, a great looking beer, and especially one for the style.
Smell: A nice hoppiness is immediately noticeable on the nose. Lots of floral notes with mild citrus peel and a hint of grass. There is plenty of yeast along with a bread and cracker malt base. Smells almost like a complicated weizen even though this is a Keller bier. A big wheat presence as with a very noticeable cardamom note; the mid ground is a medium strength banana flavor. Big pilsner malts for a lightly sweet bready aroma.
Taste: There is a nice, mild sweetness to the beer with the bread and cracker notes that were present on the nose. A bit more sweetness from a mild honey flavor. Still lots of grassy, citrus peel, and floral hops. The taste was upfront earthy hops followed by a full doughy malt and finishing with a bit of sweetness. Green apple tickle the front of the tongue. Sharp, but not overbearing, hop bitterness lingers a little in the finish.
Mouth Feel: The body is pretty light with a medium carbonation and a touch chewy. The taste is pretty incredible, loved it Dry, bitter finish primes for the next drink.
Drinkability: A beer that is excellent for a warm day. Very refreshing and easy to drink. A very nice German treat. From malt to yeast to hops...and, of course, all in good balance.
